Few substitutes: Albuterol is a prescription medication so over the counter medication substitutions are probably not available. Drinking coffee may help some, but ideally the Rx needs to be replaced ASAP. The longer wheezing goes untreated, the more difficult it is to stop. If your physician in Ireland is unable to call in the Rx to a pharmacy in England, a trip to the emergency room may be in order.
