High BP: Depends how high the BP is and if you are having any associated symptoms with it like chest pain, shortness of breath, splitting headaches, vision chnages, numbness, weakness which would warrant a visit to the ER.
Dr. Charles Saha

Blood pressure: You should recheck it every day at a time when you are relaxed. If the readings are high, then you should see your doctor. He/she may tell you to follow a healthy dietary lifestyle and attempt weight loss. At that point, you can visit the doctor to see if the blood pressure is still high, at which point, they may or may not treat with medications.
