Lotrimin (clotrimazole) cream: If the ringworm is on your skin or your child's skin, you may get lotrimin, (clotrimazole) which is over the counter in the drugstore. If the ring worm is on the head, you or your child will need to see the doctor for a prescription medicine. Cream alone will not clear ring worm on the head

Anti fungals..: Anti fungal creams like clotrimazole can help with this. You can find them over the counter. If despite this treatment you still have symptoms consult your PCP or Dermatology for a accurate evaluation. There are other skin conditions that resemble ringworm and might need other type of treatment.
