Probably OK; if in: doubt: check intraocular pressure with applanation tonometer both before taking & after stable daily niacin dosing >1 month to verify no ↑ IOL. Also be aware: (1) doses <1,000 mg/day rarely of any benefit, typically requires 1,500 to >2,000 mg/day to do much & (2) cholesterol wrong issue/misleading; check Large-HDL-P via NMR lipoproteins; the parameter which can improve with niacin.
