Local anesthesia can be taken for hystersalpingogram?

Dr. Michael Gabor
32 years experience in Diagnostic Radiology
No,: the procedure itself is somewhat similar to a speculum pelvic exam, then a catheter is placed through the cervix, and contrast injected. There is no opportunity for local anesthesia.
