No.: Nail fungal infection would not respond to topical antigungal, no matter it's cream, liquid or gel. Only certain oral antifingals would help.

Naftin (naftifine): Unfortunately the answer is no and you should go with the laser(cutera)/topical(formula 3) with steri shoe.

Nail fungus therapy: Naftin (naftifine) is not effective therapy against nail fungus. In fact, no topical creams or lotions have any beneficial effect against this infection. The only moderately effective remedy for nail fungus infection is a pill one takes for several months. Two such medications are terbinafine and diflucan.
