Addiction: Caffeine is not a very addictive substance (compared to the biggies like opiates, benzos, tobacco, alcohol) but it is somewhat in that category. You've discovered one of the qualities that defines it that way. Needing more of a thing over the course of time to achieve the same response = a sign of addiction. Hope this is understandable.
