A 30-year-old female asked:

2 month old on similac for spit up and zantac (ranitidine) for gerd. has 2 normal poops and 2 mucousy poops/day. ped isn't concerned...is this normal?

Yes: 2 normal stools and 2 mucosy stools are normal. As long as there is no blood in the stool and the baby is growing well ( about a ounce a day)- than that is normal and I wouldnt worry about the mucous.
