You still have fat: Building abs is great, and doing ab exercises will make those muscles grow, leading to the "six pack" etc. It is very important, however, to make sure you do plenty of aerobic (fat burning) exercise also if you want to show off those abs. Exercising one area will develop the muscles in that area, but will not take off the fat in that area. Stay hydrated and get on the aerobic exercise!
