Knowing first step: Cats are a common cause of allergies. Choice here is either no cat in the house or wash your cat weekly. If your child has asthma and it is triggered by pollen, it is important to have an Allergy Action Plan. Preventative steroid inhalers should be part of the plan. Use of this medication will decrease the frequency of rescue Albuterol inhaler use. The goal is to keep your child wheeze free.
