my 2 year old's high fever has stopped after 1.5days. doc diagnosed stomach flu. but i'm scared of meningitis. no stiff neck, just nausea and unwell.

Be calm: A doctor has seen your child, and the fever has gone away. Both of these things are very reassuring for there being nothing serious going on. Monitor your child closely. With most types of meningitis, if child has been ill 1 1/2 days and is still alive, really unlikely child has meningitis. If condition worsens, or is not back to the terrible two's in a few days, have child re-evaluated.
