A 20-year-old male asked:
Is the thought: "that people are going to do their best to damage my life, when i am down" (causing the feeling of vulnerable) a symptom of paranoia?

It could be: paranoia but could also be fallout from abuse growing up. If someone has been abused they have difficulty trusting anyone and expect to be hurt. Paranoia is usually not connected to actual negative experiences. To be sure, it makes spence to meet with a psychiatrist or psychologist to assess whether this is paranoia or reaction to sbusive past.
