Weight: The good news is that at your height and weight, your body mass index is in the normal, healthy range. If you desire to gain weight, you need to take in more calories than you expend on a daily basis. Nutritious food and resistance exercise will help the weight gain go into muscle rather than fat.

Just like everyone : Realize that gaining weight as an ecto-, endo-, mesomorph is very similar but modulated by different expectations. Ectomorphs - the so-called hard-gainers - just require more effort than the meso or ectomorph! You'll have to pay strict attention to how many calories your burning and taking in. This can be tedious. You also don't likely have to focus as much as others on "cardio".
