i'm scared of ect.my uncle had major depression and he used to get it,he would shake his body(cuzpain!)he committed sucide(jumped in front of train!)?

I am very sorry to : hear about your uncle's suicide. It must have been devastating 4U & your family. Although in fiction, ECT is usually depicted as a painful procedure, in western countries it is administered under anesthetic w' a muscle relaxant, & it is not painful. Your uncle's pain was from depression not ECT. ECT is often used when medication & psychotherapy have not worked 4 severe depression. I hope this help
