More analysis needed: Platelet count is largely normal. WBC on low side nearly normal still not horrible. No hematocrit or Hemoglobin in your labs. Easy bruising with these counts needs an exam, Coagulation measurements such as PT/PTT and bleeding time. Aplastic anemia is a lack of blood counts across all cell lines of blood -- a normal platelet count does not go along with this diagnosis.

Easy bruise: These results do not point to an aplastic condition because there is normal WBC count and adequate platelets. They should have done labs for bleeding diathesis such as Prothrombin time(PT/INR) and Partial thromboplastin time (PTT) as well as possible blood clotting factor levels.

Abnormal results: Abnormal test results alone are not enough to diagnose any diease, patient history & clinical finding on physical exam are very important, most of these results are low except mcv, consulting a hematologist & a bone marrow aspiration are the best way to help make a diagnosis. Good luck

Yes: Not only is it safe, but it is essential. Untreated iron-deficiency anemia can lead to permanent problems with school and behavior. Iron is absolutely essential to normal human health. If a baby's iron is low and he cannot get it in his diet, he must take supplements.

Hi im anemic and my doctor want me to do iron infusion and colonoscopy , why?

Need more info: I suspect that your doctor has found that you have iron deficiency anemia. This is a very straightforward diagnosis to make. The colonoscopy is helpful to make sure that you are not losing it in the bowel. If oral iron is not helping then you might need IV iron to rapidly make up for what you can't get from pills.
