if we go thru throat culture.do we really need pus on swab to detect streptococcus pyogenus?or it could be done w/o pus on swab but saliva fro back?

An adequate: swab of the palatine tonsils can uncover the strep antigen on rapid tests and grow the bacteria on culture media without visible pus. Pus is not a requirement.

I enjoy sleeping with a body pillow, will that worsen my neck pain during pregnancy?

No: I often recommend that pregnant patients sleep with a body pillow as it can help relieve low back pain in pregnancy. Consider a buckwheat stuffed head pillow or foam head pillow if you find you are not getting proper neck support.

A 19-year-old female asked:

I have puss on tonceles and large bumps on back of tongue and throat but don't hurt. Do u know what could be wrong?

Probably normal: If you do not have pain and no fever then this may be normal. All of our tongues have bumps on the back of them and just maybe you never noticed them. The tonsils can collect debris and dead cells that slough off and these can collect as small white plugs in the tonsil itself. If there is no pain it is unlikely that you have an infection.
