Psychiatry 25 years experience
Variable: Usually the patient and the provider decide how often a person will be seen for therapy - weekly isn't uncommon. Some people might be seen every two weeks or once a month. Regarding psychiatric management of medications - once a month is not uncommon. When I am first seeing someone and we are making frequent changes to their med regimen -might see them weekly. The longest period I go without >
Clinical Psychology 14 years experience
DEPENDS : It depends on the patient and their symptoms, and the psychologist/psychiatrist they see. No easy, short answer here.
