i haveabdominal hernia and am having sgy. in 3 weeks while waiting i have severe bloating, pain and overal miserable. any ways to hlp these issues until surgery. ?

Distention, p;an,: nausea, vomiting, and obstipation are symptoms of acute incarceration, a serious complication. You need to go to the emergency dept immediately for evaluation and x-rays, because you may not be able to wait the 3 weeks to have your surgery.

Have it looked at: Obstruction, trapped loop of bowel need to be excluded or at least discussed with your doctor. Avoid carbonated beverages and avoid foods that constipate.
