r. testicle pain w shooting pain in thigh. was cleared for torsion. doc suspects femoral nerve issue. i have tiny hernia they say thats not it. ideas?

Groin strain: This sounds like a typical groin strain. Are you an athlete or might you have started a new exercise regimen? Generally, these will heal within a couple of weeks.

More likely hernia: Common things commonly occur & hernias are very common. Femoral nerve pain would be confined to the leg & often associated with leg weakness. Ilioinguinal nerve travels thru inguinal canal (next to hernia , if present) & sends branches into scrotum & into upper & inner thigh. Thus hernia pressing on ilioinguinal nerve is most likely cause, followed by other causes of Ilioinguinal nerve pain.
