Leg infection: This may well be something called cellulitis. The patient that has swollen legs can get and infection that is secondary to the swelling. The swelling may make a small opening in the skin and permit infection to get in the legs. This can become very serious . See you doctor as soon as possible.

See doctor ASAP: With your father's many health conditions, there are a number of possibilities as to what could cause his pain and redness in legs. However, some of those possibilities are very concerning, including an infection or blood clot (also known as DVT). He should be seen by a doctor ASAP. Go to the ER. Best wishes.
