i have been on my birth control for almost a year, and i got my period 2 weeks early. i am abstinent. what could cause this? should i be concerned?

It can happen: Occasional irregularity in one's cycle is acceptable as long as it does not happen beyond a 3 month period. Stress (emotional/physical) is a known factor to cause transient irregular menses.
