Deep vein thrombosis: Clots in legs occur if prolonged sitting in one position without moving the calf muscles, not drinking enough water. Use of birth control pills, family history of DVT, prior history of DVT and smoking makes one prone to it. Signs are calf swelling one side more than other with pain on squeezing calf. Dizziness can occur from many different causes. Head cold is one of them.
