About $3000: Medical oncology is for chemo; not radiation.
2 week course of palliative radiation is about $3000 and is almost always covered by insurance.

Cost can vary: Depending upon the symptom and region of the body being treated, the length of the course of therapy and cost can vary. Many uncomplicated bone metastases can be treated in a single fraction of therapy with routine treatment techniques and typically costs less than $1000. Treatment to address brain metastases or relieve obstruction in the lung may require 2--3 weeks and cost thousands of dollars.
