Complex genetics: Adult height is depending on many factors (nutrition, sleep, stress, etc). However, among normal people, tall people do not generally have higher GH levels than short people. If a child has normal GH and you give more , you will increase adult height, but only a little. The body's response to GH and other hormones is likely genetic, but it is complex.
