3 month long sore throat. std/hiv/strep/mono neg. 2 days ago went in doc said chronic tonsillitis, rhinitis. antibiotics/steroids not help. now what?

One concern: With this history, and any visible lesion no matter how seemingly trivial, a savvy physician will need to run labs to look for Wegener's granulomatosis, even if there is nothing else on history / physical to suggest it. Behcet's, the sequelae of herpangina (I had this), and even irritation from snoring can all get missed.
