Can stress increase lupus/sjogrens symptoms like fatigue and joint pain?

Yes: Stress causes the body to release cortisone compounds and adrenaline compounds. When the stress stops your body feels a drop in these like steroid withdrawal, thus the increase in symptoms. There are other hormonal mechanisms in place as well.
