No: Aside from assisted reproductive technologies (ART), ovulation is required for fertilization/conception and subsequent pregnancy. However, be mindful that the timing of ovulation can sometimes fluctuate. So, it's not always easy to predict the precise timing of this event.

V'ing: The further you move away from your ovulation day - the less the chances. You are likely to be the most fertile the day of, day before and day after ovulation. However, never say never. If you are not ready for pregnancy it is prudent to use some form of birth control for every sexual act (vaginal intercourse).

It depends: on how absolutely regular your ovulation day is, and how long your partner's sperm stays viable in your uterus/tubes. Usually the max time sperm can live is 7 days, and it usually is only viable to fertilize an egg for 72 hours. But if you ovulated a few days early, and your partner has very "resilient" sperm, it's possible!

About ovulation...: Women can get pregnant a week after when they think they ovulated, or a week after when they expected they would ovulate, but NOT a week after an actual ovulation. That's because a woman may ovulate later than when she thought she would ovulate, or later than her expected ovulation date. Her question then is, "How do I know the exact day I actually ovulated?"

Not likely: Normally, fertilization takes place within 1-2 days of ovulation and will be increasingly unlikely thereafter.

No: The egg is receptive for about 24 hours after ovulation. If conception does not occur in that time, it will not occur that cycle.
