It is tested for.: Hydrocodone is one of the drugs commonly tested for in a urine drug screen. Some of the most basic urine drug screens may only test for natural opiates such as heroin, morphine or codeine. Since it is a synthetic opiate, it is sometimes tested and reported separately from naturally occurring opiates.
