Interventional Radiology 20 years experience
4 hours: The PIPIDA scan can take up to 4 hours to complete. Once complete, the exam is immediately available for interpretation. You should be able to get an official, interpreted result within 24 hours. You should follow up with the doc that ordered the exam to discuss the results.
