Nobody knows: and further, there seem to be effects of THC, the major psychoactive compound in marijuana, and also of cannabidiol (CBD) which is not psychoactive. These effects have been shown in tissue culture and animal studies, but there are no human studies of which I am aware that indicates that it is such effects in people. Endocannabinoid receptors are found in many tissues, including cancer cells.
