Good Question: Dear Dropnte, Regurgitation is when food comes up into or outside of one's mouth. This has many causes:,1. esophagus problems where the food is not completely emptying out of the swallowing tube into the stomach.2. The stomach is contracting the wrong way ( called rumination). 3. Open reflux . Vomiting is entirely different and is always accompanied by a feeling of nausea.
