When will meds work if been on saphris (asenapine) 4 weeks, first 3 weeks were great, then the 4th week symptoms got worse, adjusted dose from 10-15mgs?

They have worked: From what you said they have worked, but now you are having breakthrough symptoms. Saphris (asenapine) is a medication that often works fast. However if you have the up and down depression ( bipolar disorder ) then often you can see a medication work quickly but then the depression returns. Sometimes the addition of another kind of mood stabilizer can help prevent this. Your doc will know the best course.

Communicate: Discuss it with your Doctor. Saphris (asenapine) usually has to be adjusted in between 10-20 mg/day. It will depend on how your body process it (remember it is sublingual do not swallow it nor drink anything for 15 minutes). Also are you having recurrence of symptoms or side effects? Saphris (asenapine) could make you feel restless, anxious.
