if your baby dies in your uterus, how long does it take before you get sick?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Marilynn Frederiksen
46 years experience Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Fetal death: After a fetus dies in utero in the second of third trimester, generally there are no maternal side effects. However, if the fetus remains in the uterus for a long period of time, generally more than 4 weeks, there can be blood clotting abnormalities.
