Ovulation: I am going to speak frankly. You are 28 years old. This is simple and basic and vital information. You get pregnant when you ovulate. Not when you menstruate. Ovulation is the release of the egg from the ovary. Sperm live for five days inside of a female so sperm left on the five days leading up to ovulation are the sperm that will cause pregnancy.
