dental group insurance does not pay a cent for any part of the implant process-beginning to end. can i present a discount card without offending?

Depends..: Does your dentist participate in a discount dental plan? If so, you would not be offending, since he/she already agreed to discounted fees. If they do not, then there is no obligation to lower the fees. Fees will vary from office to office... the fees you were quoted may be quite reasonable for your locale... have you compared? That may give you peace of mind. The fee may or may not be negotiable.

Unlikely: Dentistry has now followed medicine in that most services are now discounted for some reason. Few pay the full listed price. Speak in person to the treatment coordinator or office manager and ask if you might qualify for one of their discounts.

Ask: The first and most important step would be to find out your treatment options and with a dentist whom you trust and is recommended by others. Then, find out the office's payment options. It never hurts to ask. Think quality and long term.

Dental Insurance: Some dental policies cover dental implants. There is no medical coverage for them since dental procedures are typically excluded
