Hypercholesterolemia: Oatmeal is a great food to help naturally lower cholesterol. There are lots of great low calorie cookie recipes available online. Here's a link to one of them:

D and E: Diet and exercise are the backbone of cholesterol reduction. If the 14 year old has a familial condition with premature death in family members, drug therapy with a statin may be indicated.
