Worse: If it was your heart, exertion would make it worse. Likely it's something musculoskeletal if running makes it better.

Angina: classic angina or cardiac chest pain as a result of obstructive coronary artery disease ( blockages in the arteries that supply your heart) is described as worsened with exercise or exertion and made better with rest. So to answer your question, the pain you describe would be inconsistent with cardiac angina.
