Many options: First , would help to know age and nature of disability. DO they like music? How mobile are they? What are their interests if they are old enough - d they like dinosaurs, Turtles, Elmo...? Time spent with them is always an excellent gift. Take them to park, museum, out for lunch if old enough. Work with their strengths - you don't but a bike for a kid with spina bifida, but art supplies are great!

It depends: It depends greatly on the type of disability, age of the child, and other factors. A good idea is to ask the parent what the child enjoys. Try to make sure the gift is safe for the child's developmental level. For example, if the child regularly puts small things into her mouth, avoid those (just as you would for a toddler who does the same thing).

Keep trying: Under the age f 10 it can take up to 45 times of visually presenting a food before a child will try it. Food and play: Most children are healthier during the summer because they are out of school, relaxed, and playing. Diet is #1. Feeding as much fresh food as you can. As much organic as you can afford. Fruits and berries help boost the immune system as well. Elderberry twice a week is a good preventative. Drinking water to stay hydrated. Also have their vit d levels checked. Level of 50-70 is desired.

See below.: Children have to learn how to choose friends wisely. Parents can help young children learn how to make friends by teaching them concepts such as sharing, compassion, and conflict resolution and how to choose good friends and resist negative influences. Kids learn how to get along by watching other kids.
