Possible surgery: Anal tumors are usually squamous ca for which the treatment is rt + Mitomycin c. If it is an adenocarcinoma it is essential to do trans anal/rectal sonogram to determine whether the muscular layer deep to the tumor is involved. If not wide excision is possible. Squamousca almost always cureable without surgery.
