Can you tell me if I have had a meniscus tear, what was the best treatment?

Arthroscopy: For a young person arthroscopic meniscal repair is the best solution. If the meniscus is not repairable or is in a portion of the meniscus that has a poor blood supply("white/ white" zone) , then arthroscopic partial menisectomy is best.meniscal tears generally do not heal and cause pain, ' catching' etc. even in young pts. See your ORS who is proficient @ arthroscopy. Good Luck!
