A 35-year-old member asked:
are there any supplements that can improve memory and concentration? answer please!

No: You can pretty much bank on it: Any supplement touted by health-food hucksters for any "problem" will have no real evidence of effect. Common substances that improve memory & concentration are already well known, eg caffeine and nicotine. But I don't recommend taking up smoking to improve your memory & concentration.

Which supplement (and content) for memory enhancement? For 60+

Supplements: Many are touted as effective ways to enhance memory; some do show promise: ginko biloba apparently improves cerebral circulation. Vitamin b complex may help. Brain consists largely of fat, mainly dha, epa (omega-3 fatty acids) & phosphatidylserine; so fish oil or eating oily fish like cod/tuna can help. Garlic also seems to improve circulation. Antioxidants fight free radicals.

Herbs or supplement for good memory?

Dr. Steven Charlap answered

Exercise: The single most powerful, clinically proven means to improve memory is to be physically fit, reduce stress, eat healthy, and be intellectually stimulated. The pills do almost nothing. Stay natural and help your entire health, not just your memory. A study done at cooper health institute showed the physically fit had the lowest rates of alzheimer's. Get and stay fit at any age.
