GERD: Before meds comes lifestyle! leave 4 hours between dinner and bedtime. No laying on the couch after meals. No late night snacks. Try raising the head of the bed 6 inches. Glad to see you don't smoke or drink alcohol as these are both gerd triggers. Dietary triggers include caffeine (coffee, tea, soda), chocolate, and mint. If all this fails, many over the counter meds are available, try Tums (calcium carbonate) 1st.
