Ankle and heel pain: The heel pain could be plantar fasciitis or achilles tendinitis. The ankle giving out could be weak or stretched ligaments. An orthopedic exam is needed.

Ankle/heel pain: It's not clear if you've had any type of treatments or medications or testing. This needs to be examined. It might be treatable, but it depends on the exam and history.
