Hard to say: Once you have acquired genital warts, you cannot say for certain where the virus may be located. The visible warts are obvious, and many have had these removed with a laser, only to see some come up months or years later at other locations.There can be skin areas that ave shedding virus but no visible lesions.

Additional concerns: If you have active genital lesions and or are shedding virus around the time of delivery, this risks passage of the germ to baby during labor or delivery.Affected infants could then show up with genital or vocal cord warts over the next 2 years. Some women choose to schedule a cs delivery to avoid the possibility.
