baby's 4 months old, still having bouts of ppd. can not stop stress eating, stressing, obsessing. how do i stop this self destructive behavior?

This is most likely: This most likely due to not having support readily available when the stress is occuring or about to occur so in dealing with 'stress' you eat. But one must find out 'what are your stress triggers' it's not uncommon for people going through as stressfull situation to turn to food, we are usually comforted by a good meal and we tend to use it as a means to deal with our issues.

Are you getting help: Are you getting help for your post-partum depression, and with your young infant? It sounds like you need treatment, but i don't see in your information that you're receiving it. "stressing" and "obsessing" can be part of post partum depression -- don't wait! please ask your doctor about referrals for psychologists and/or psychiatrists in your area. Help is possible, and you can feel better!

PPD help: PPD can last for some time. It's better to get help now so you can learn coping skills to get you through. You can contact postpartum international to find providers in your area.

PPD: Having a baby can be hard - what with the huge fluctuations in hormone levels as well as needing to take care of a newborn. Given that your symptoms are still around after 4 months, it sounds like a good time to start working with a therapist who treats postpartum depression.
