Sure: If you are healthy without any systemic diseases, then it is very doable. There are many 16 - 20 week training programs out there. Check Runner's World site for good info. You must first develop a good solid base before starting any of these programs in order to be successful. Be Patient. Expect interferences in training plans --life goes on. Allow 20 wks for a 16 wk plan. Good Luck.
