Gradual slow fading: Your black eye will fade away in a matter of 10 days to 2 weeks. There will be a change of colors from bright red to pink to brown as the hematoma gets absorbed. Within 24 hrs of the injury cold compresses are indicated. After this warm hot packs applied for 30 minutes 3 x daily help to get rid of the black eye.
