Aside from the obvious blood test, how would one possibly know if cholesterol is higher than normal, assuming one's about 120 pound, or average weight?

Test: Many times the cholesterol level has nothing to do with one's body weight. Of course, if you are significantly overweight, the likelihood of having a higher cholesterol level is increased but many people with normal weight can have abnormal cholesterol levels, either in absolute value or in terms of an abnormal ratio of its components. Therefore only a blood test can provide accurate information.
