A 22-year-old female asked:

If I had my period, then bled again two weeks later& now I'm late for this month, could I be pregnant?

Maybe: A urine pregnancy test, done correctly, gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. If a woman gets her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and a test is not needed.

Prescription: A prescription for a Progesterone medication from your physician can "prime" your uterus to have a period. Since it's been 3 months since your last, this next one may be heavier than usual with more cramps - be prepared.

So take a test: Don't guess. Take a test. In today's world you do not need to wonder if you are pregnant or not based on symptoms. Pregnancy tests are available at any pharmacy and in minutes you will have your answer. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.

It is: entirely possible if you are having unprotected intercourse. Simply perform a first voided urine pregnancy test to answer more definitively.

That is a : Possibility if there has been bleedling which was not due to your pregnancy or if you have been sexually active since your last period. Take a home pregnancy test to confirm status. Take care.
