Many are fine.: However, if a home remedy sound kooky - it might be. Don't use home remedies when medical care is what is really needed.

Not necessarily: If using a home remedy is preventing you from getting medical treatment for a serious condition - that could be a negative. Any one can concoct a home remedy - some are not safe. But there are many tried and true home remedies that work wonderfully. Take care.

What's some good home remedies for strep? It hurts so bad.

Dr. Christopher Dowd
Internal Medicine 20 years experience
Need Rx treatment: While there are some things you can do to ease symptoms, true strep throat requires a visit to your doctor for antibiotics. Untreated strep throat can lead to serious problems. Symptomatic care for throat pain includes: gargling with warm salt water, throat lozengers, throat spray (ie chloraseptic), popsicles/cold things and tylenol (acetaminophen). But again, please promptly see your doctor if you have strep!

Is it possible for pockmarks to be treated with home remedies?

Dr. Mike Bowman

Not effectively: If you have deep pockmarks (acne "ice pick" scars), you will not find much improvement from home remedies. Once your acne is under control, these scars can be addressed with a variety of techniques including peels, lasers, dermabrasion, etc. Seek a qualified facial plastic surgeon or dermatologist with experience in this area.
